Getting help

Getting help

BasinC sports a very comprehensive help file, designed to allow you to easily find help on any topic you desire. It is modelled on the Microsoft html-help system, which provides indexing and contents functions. You can access the main contents page using Ctrl-F1 or by using the Help Menu in the Editor.

The Help file also includes a complete BASIC programming course, adapted from the original Sinclair BASIC manual. This also include specific help on any of the keywords or functions found in Sinclair BASIC. Just hover your mouse over the keyword you want help with, and click your right mouse button to get a Keyword Context Menu for that keyword, which includes, amongst other options, help for that keyword. You can also use the Editor cursor to move to the keyword you want help with, and press F1.

To get help on an item in a dialogue box, click the Help button in the window you require help with, or use the Help menu if available.

As a last resort, you can fnd contact details for the Author in the Contact chapter.
